Art of Drag is here – subverting famous art by replacing the principle character with a Drag Queen. This exciting new brand is bursting on to the scene and available to license across multiple product categories.

Coming out at BLE

Art of Drag was officially launched at Brand Licensing Europe on 20 September 2022. And did it make a splash? * Tongue Click *

We enlisted the help of the Drag community and had the incredibly glamorous Cybil Grimm and the outrageous Tanya LeCoq visit the show and wow the crowds.

The range received extensive coverage through BLE’s official channels and rivalled the huge brands for exposure, even though we are a relatively small studio.

Visitors were lining up to have their photos taken with our (almost) tame Drag Queens proving that Drag is here, it’s big and it’s fabulous. And it’s the perfect time for Art of Drag to burst onto the scene.

Shantay you Stay!

Drag culture exploded into mainstream culture in the USA in 2017 and has since translated to the UK with the creation of Ru Paul’s  UK Drag Race. As a result Drag culture is now expanding in mainstream British culture with Drag becoming a viable entertainment medium with Drag Bingo and Drag Story time as examples of everyday drag performances.

And now with major brands such as MAC, Ikea, Lush, Magnum, Method and Absolut featuring Drag artists in their advertising, Drag is no longer a niche or taboo underground art form.

Art of Drag taps into this growing trend with a wide range of famous artworks that translate across multiple product categories, giving mainstream lovers of Drag culture and all things kitsch an exciting range they can use to proudly display their love of all things Drag.

Famous art, now with extra fabulousness

These beautifully illustrated reimaginings stretch from street art to the Renaissance, with everything in-between. We are constantly building an expanding library of images to be deployed across different product categories, suitable for all glamorous art lovers
