Charity Art Competition for children in Ealing
All entrants must accept the terms and conditions of the competition. Entry to this competition constitutes an acceptance of these terms & conditions by the entrant, or, if the entrant is under 18 years of age, by their parents or guardian on their behalf.
Terms and Conditions
1) Aim of the competition: To heighten awareness and raise money to help people with Parkinson’s Disease. This competition also encourages and applauds creativity in children. Please note, The London Studio do not keep the entry fees from this event — they will donate the money to the Parkinson's Disease Society. The London Studio shall also be donating grand-prizes for these awards.
2) Who can enter: children & young people up to the age of 18 who live or go to school in the Borough of Ealing.
3) What can be entered: a painting, drawing, photograph, sketch, or a mixed-media work of art.
4) Theme for artworks: the festive season and winter-time.
5) Closing date: 24th November 2008.
6) Entry fees: The entry fee for each artwork entered is £10.
7) How to enter: Hand-in your artwork and £10 entry fee to your ART TEACHER by 24th Nov 2008. If your school is not involved, please post your artwork and a cheque for £10 made payable to Miss Zavacopoulos to: The London Studio, 23 Bradley Gardens, London, W13 8HE. Please note, an entry form should be attached to the back of your artwork. Entry forms can be downloaded here or collected from your art teacher.
8) Artwork copyright: The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of all artwork entered.
9) Reproduction rights & your copyright: The organisers and their authorized parties reserve the right to free reproduction and exhibition of entered artwork(s) in all media. Entrants grant The London Studio a royalty-free, worldwide licence on their submitted artwork to reproduce, distribute, sell, display, and create derivative works of the entries (along with a name credit). If the entrant is under 18 years old, their parents or guardian agree to this license on their behalf. Where an artwork is reproduced by The London Studio, the artist will be credited. The London Studio does not make any claim whatsoever on the copyright of YOUR artwork(s). The copyright will, at all times, be respected by The London Studio and retained by the artist. A selection of the winning and other best images will be exhibited in a gallery and published online by The London Studio.
10) Winners: The winners will be announced at the Private View which takes place at the PM Gallery in Ealing on Wed 10th December 2008.
11) Winners’ publicity: All prize winners (or their parents or guardian if the entrant is under 18 years of age) must agree to participate in related publicity and to the use of their name and likeness for the purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation. Photos taken at the Private View may be used in the press and publicity of the event.
12) Prizes: Prizes will be handed out to winners in a prize-giving ceremony at the Private View of the winners’ exhibition. This takes place on Wednesday 10th December 2008 at The Studio in the PM Gallery, Mattock Lane, Ealing, London, W5 5EQ
13) The organiser assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, theft or damage to, and/or relating to, the entries and/or competition and retains the right to change the Terms & Conditions should the need arise.
