The London Studio rebranded the West London festival last year and designed new marketing materials, direct mail and an ad campaign which run across tube billboards, busses, on street furniture and in the press, attracting a record 150,00 Londoners to the event.
Branding the summer festival was a difficult task as it incorporates a family of "9 individual festivals in one", namely:
The London Mela,
West London Literary Festival,
Ealing Jazz Festival
Ealing Comedy Festival,
Opera in the Park,
Ealing Blues Festival,
Greenford Carnival,
Ealing Global Festival,
and new for 2009: Acton Carnival
The 9 festivals, which run in several different West London locations over three months in the summer, needed to have their own unique identity, yet also be distinguishable as belonging to their “parent event” – The Ealing Summer Festival.
